Untitled Bus Play, conceptualized by Dayna Lea Hoffmann is a site-sympathetic immersive experience that invites audiences to slow down, pay attention, and rediscover Edmonton through memory, story, and the everyday places we pass by without noticing.
At its core, the piece asks:

• What makes a place meaningful?

• How do we leave traces of ourselves in a city?

Untitled Bus Play is about paying attention to the mundane, finding beauty in ordinary places, and remembering that every street, alley, café, bus stop, and patch of grass carries the stories of the people who have passed through it.

“I’m interested in the idea that when we take the time to be present with our surroundings, places become more than just buildings, streets, or bus stops. They become containers for memories, relationships, and moments that have shaped us. When we stop paying attention to our daily routes, the city becomes background while we look ahead toward our destination. This project is an invitation to notice it again through the stories of others. As we begin the devising process, we want to hear from you! Your stories. Your memories. Your observations.”
