Sophie is a queer Nikkei performer and writer based in amiskwaciwâskahikan/ Edmonton. She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta and a certificate from Ecole Philippe Gaulier (where she was once kicked off the stage 5 seconds into her performance). Her work engages with horror, feminism, the Weird, and queer identity. Her alternative comedy cabaret acts have been featured everywhere from Paris to PepperMUNT. When she’s not working in theatre, she can be found doing scary little crafts, painting, and drawing.
