Kristi Hansen
Director
Kristi is a disabled theatre artist and the co-founder and co-Artistic Director of the Maggie Tree. She is the former co-Artistic Producer of Azimuth Theatre and the former Associate Artist at the Citadel Theatre. Kristi piloted the first Accessible Performance Series at the Citadel Theatre as their Access Coordinator for their 2024/25 Season. Directing credits include CAPABLE (Mile Zero Dance); Cycle (Thou Art Here Theatre); Fake n’ Bake (Oh Hello! Productions); Confessions of a Sex Worker (Edmonton Fringe Festival); Shatter (The Maggie Tree); and Work Plays (Alberta Workers’ Health Centre). Dramaturgy credits include Postal Prophets by D’orjay Jackson; CAPABLE by Ainsley Hillyard; In My Own Little Corner by Carly Neis; Fake n’ Bake by Ellie Heath; Confessions of a Sex Worker by Dawn Friesen; Category E by Belinda Cornish; and A Life in the Day by Beth Graham. Kristi’s work as an actor has taken from Prince Edward Island to Vancouver Island, but Edmonton is their beloved home.
