Playwright Louise Casemore will finally have time to write and not worry about money, knowing her upcoming project will receive a full production in two years.

The former St. Albert actor-director was the only artist accepted into Thou Art Here Theatre’s "Write Here" program, a two-year development project that allows her to pen an original immersive theatre piece.

Immersive theatre takes productions out of conventional theatre spaces directly into the community. Examples include churches, parks, community centres, museums, art galleries, private homes and more.

Write Here allows Casemore to earn an income while writing, a luxury most playwrights simply dream about. In addition, the Edmonton company will supply her with mentorship, a dramaturg, creative workshops and a world premiere production in 2027.
