Congratulations Dayna!

We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate our very own Artistic Mentee Dayna Lea Hoffman, on having been the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta's 2026 Emerging Artist Award. This recognition is beyond well deserved, and Thou Art Here is so grateful that we get to work with such a force of nature in Edmonton's indie theatre scene. Dayna is one of the brains behind the hit shows Rat Academy and Rat Academy 2: Gnaw and Order, and has worked as an actor in countless productions ranging many styles of performance, such as: All the Little Animals I Have Eaten (Shadow Theatre), The Pillowman (Theatre Yes), Mermaid Legs (Skirts Afire), and Countries Shaped Like Stars (Fringe Theatre Adventures). Dayna is one of the most resourceful, hard-working, and talented artists, and is a phenomenal team player. This award recognizes the courageous and assiduous dedication that she applies to her craft as a theatre artist, as well as to the high standards to which she holds herself and her work. We are so proud to be celebrating Dayna's achievement in our amazing community and province; be sure to pass on your congrats when you see her!
